The Cootamundra Turf Club will be hosting an 8 race TAB meeting this Friday with gates open at 11:00am and the day concluding at 6:00pm.

Club President Anna Mullins said, “Tickets are available online at Cootamundra Cup 2021. We will have a full bar and plenty of food, as well as the TAB mobile van and on course bookmakers.”

The club was forced to abandon the regular long weekend event due to the poor weather and they were able to move it to this Friday thanks to Racing NSW.

Every on course spectator has to be double vaccinated to be able to attend and they will be separated from the Jockeys, stable hands and stewards.

The Friday event is a great opportunity for race goers to enjoy a day out after the state opened up last week after lengthy Covid lock downs.

There will be no fashions on the field, however, there’s been enormous interest from trainers with 174 nominations across the 8 races with a total prize money amount for the day, of just shy of Two hundred thousand dollars.

The Cootamundra Cup is the 1600m feature race held and boasts a total prize pool of $29,000 and is run under handicap conditions.

Friday is shaping up to be a cracker of a day with a top of 26 degrees. Get in and grab your tickets now.
