Officer In-charge of the Cootamundra Gundagai Police Station, Chief Inspector Frank Brown said yesterday’s charges was an example of good policing work in the Riverina.

“The police work that was undertaken by Cootamundra officers was great work and good detection of illegal drugs and other items,” he said.

“It’s great police work as police were able to intercept and stop an amount of drugs before it was able to be sold onto other persons. Vaping material has also been removed from the street.

“This is a message to the community that if you are going to transport illegal items, be prepared to be stopped by police who will have your vehicles searched.”
