When Blake Basham took the field for the Cootamundra Blues against the Yass Roos at Clark Oval on Saturday, he joined an elite club of fathers and sons to have played over 100 games
for the Cootamundra Blues.

Names such as Rudd, Milthorpe and Coggan are synonymous with our club, with the Basham name also certain to feature among the greats. Born to play for the Blues, Blake was around the club from day one, beginning his football journey playing Auskick at Cootamundra’s Clarke Oval.

When asked what it means to reach such a significant milestone for his boyhood club, Basham said it was always his dream to play for the Blues growing up.
